TLC reunites at the American Music Awards, Lil Mama steps in for Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (Video)

TLC performed at the American Music Awards on Sunday night, and Lil Mama filled in beside Rozonda "Chili" Thomas and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins for the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes.

Lil Mama played the female rapper in the recent Vh1 biopic, so she was familiar with the group and the songs.

E! Online reports the trio sang the group’s hit “Waterfalls.”

"Left Eye in particular helped me to stay on top of my A game," Lil Mama told Ebony last month. "She's one of the best female MCs that I've heard. Her lyrical content was up there with the MC Lytes, the Lauryn Hills and Missy Elliotts of the world. She helped me to understand that if I'm going to go in and talk about something, [I have to] be poetic, be expressive and do it in a way that the average person can't."

Us Weekly notes that Lopes died back in 1992 in a car accident in Honduras.'
