Monty Python extends run of live stage show

Monty Python recently announced that they would be doing a live performance stage show at the 02 Arena in London. The first show sold out within 43.5 seconds. In light of its popularity, the show will be extended.

The show will now run from July 1 through 5 next year, reported Variety.

For fans in the United States, a sixth show is being planned for the Hollywood Bowl in L.A. The comedy troupe performed live in L.A. back in 1980 at the same location.

The Mirror added that the late Graham Chapman is set to star in the reunion show, in a comedy séance.

Chapman died of cancer in 1989 at the age of 48. The Pythons last performed live as a whole group in 1982.

Michael Palin, a member of the group, made a few comments regarding Chapman when they announced the live show. “We have to Graham somehow, that should be a challenge to the scientific community.”

There have been additional rumors that the comedy troupe is planning a world tour, but no announcement yet on that front.
