5. Renee Zellweger

Renee Zellweger was born in Katy, Texas, on April 25, 1969. Her mother was Kjellfrid Irene (Andreassen), a former nurse and midwife, her father Emil Erich Zellweger was an engineer.

Working with her high school drama club led to her interest in acting.

After college, at the University of Texas –Austin, she auditioned for roles around Houston getting a part in Reality Bites (1994).

Zellweger became more widely known in the box office hit Jerry Maguire (1996), in which she played the romantic interest of Tom Cruise's character, Jerry.

Chicago (2002) in which she won the Golden Globe, and Bridget Jones Diary (2001) are two of her most known films, of which she has been the star.

Her first Oscar was won for best supporting actress for her work in Cold Mountain (2003).
