12. Tommy Lee Jones

Tommy Lee Jones was born in San Saba, Texas in 1946; his parents were Lucille Marie (Scott) a police officer and beauty shop owner, and Clyde C. Jones who worked on the oil fields.

He attended a prep school for boys in Dallas called St. Mark’s then moved onto Harvard on a scholarship, where he roomed with future Vice President Al Gore. Jones played offensive guard in the infamous Harvard-Yale football game called “The Tie” in 1968.

After College, he moved to New York City, where he began his career on the stage in A Patriot for Me (1969).

In The Fugitive (1993), his role as deputy U.S. Marshal Samuel Gerard in which he pursued a doctor played by fellow actor Harrison Ford who was wrongfully accused of murdering his wife. Jones earned an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for best supporting actor.

He also played the role of Kay in Men In Black (1997), Men In Black II (2002) and Men In Black 3 (2012), the iconic role that many people will know him.
