4. "Heartbreak Hotel"

Elvis released “Heartbreak Hotel” in January 1956 and it became his first No. 1 hit and million-selling single. It sat on top of the Billboard Top 100 chart for seven weeks, the Country and Western chart for 17 weeks and made it to the No. 3 spot on the R&B chart. The song is currently No. 45 in Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1995 and is included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
