Remembering Elvis Presley with our favorite songs

6. "Hawaiian Wedding Song"

This song was originally written in the Hawaiian language in 1926 for an operetta and was originally called “Ke Kali Nei Au.” It was translated into English in 1958 and dubbed the “Hawaiian Wedding Song.” Andy Williams had the biggest hit of the song in the U.S., hitting No. 11 on the Billboard Top 100 in 1959. Elvis performed another version of the song in his 1961 movie, Blue Hawaii. I think this was the first wedding I ever cried at.
