More celebrities you will never believe were game show hosts

Danny Bonaduce (Starface - 2006)

For those of you younger readers, your grandmother probably had a crush on this man more than 40 years ago when he starred on the popular television show The Partridge Family. Known by many as Danny Partridge, the lovable, young musician who rode around on a bus with his fictional family, Danny Bonaduce took his shot at game show hosting in 2006 on the GSN original, Starface. GSN executives were probably hoping that loyal viewers of The Partridge Family would "come on, get happy" when seeing Danny Bonaduce was hosting a game show, but with low ratings throughout the run of Starface and a cancellation after just one season, those same executive were most likely not singing "I think I love you."

The game revolved around celebrity trivia. Three contestants competed to see who knew more about celebrities and pop culture over the course of three rounds. The player who ended up with the most points got the opportunity to play the bonus round for the chance to win a fantastic trip. The game itself was okay. There was nothing particularly special about it as there have been many game shows based solely off of Hollywood-centered trivia. However, it was a fun game to play along to if you are a celebrity junkie and love to learn everything you can about famous people.

In 2006, Danny Bonaduce sure didn't sound like the sweet adorable kid he used to be. With his thick, raspy adult voice and his somewhat creepy laugh, Mr. Bonaduce was a bit tough to connect with as a host. He tried his best to throw out a few jokes when he could and he seemed like he was having a good time hosting the show, but often times when reading the questions, it felt like Danny was trying to spurt out as many words as he could with a single breath. Danny certainly has a lot of personality, but he's better off hosting a show like Fear Factor or BattleBots where he can get animated and loud with his commentary instead of a mellow game show like Starface.
