Ryan Seacrest (Click - 1997)
The first two names on this list are ones you all already know and love from the hosting circuit. However, before their more famous hosting gigs, these two gentlemen got their start in television by hosting a game show. Opening up this list of ten additional celebrities you never knew were game show hosts is the man seen hosting just about every kind of show imaginable today, Ryan Seacrest. Before American Idol, before Dick Clark's New Years Rockin' Eve, Before Live with Kelly and Ryan, Seacrest hosted a kids game show called Click.

Back in 1997, the internet was certainly not what it is today and the craze of the World Wide Web was captivating the nation. This game show was created by the one and only Merv Griffin, the mastermind behind Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, and centered around computers. Three teams of teenagers competed to earn the most cash over the course of three rounds, called levels, by answering trivia questions. Throughout the game, teams gained control of the Motherboard's giant mouse and clicked on the topic of each question or clicked one of the computer-themed stations that also contained questions. The team who made it to the bonus round had a chance to win a pair of computers, which were definitely a hot commodity by kids back in the day.
There is no denying Ryan's hosting abilities and you can see from watching an episode of Click how his journey to becoming one of the best hosts in the business started. Actually, his first television job was the host of Gladiators 2000, a kids version of the popular competition show American Gladiators, back in the mid-90s. The kid inside of him really came through as the host of Gladiators 2000 and especially as the host of Click. From a young age, Ryan Seacrest showed that his personality, charisma and charm were perfect for a game show setting. Merv definitely knew what he was doing casting Ryan to be the host of Click. Years later, Seacrest would get the opportunity to host another game show, The Million Second Quiz, but many forget about the game show he hosted way back in the day prior to his emcee resume overflowing.
