Shatter the Clock!
Back in 2012, after eight years, Pyramid returned to television thanks to GSN's version of the show titled The Pyramid. The show was hosted by The Price Is Right and Let's Make a Deal executive producer Mike Richards but only lasted for 40 episodes. Despite its short run and a couple of minor flaws, The Pyramid is at the top of the leaderboard of GSN's best original programs ever produced.
Across all 40 episodes, it's sad to say but there weren't as many Winner's Circle wins as there should have been. However, this $10,000 win was a suburb showing and could definitely go under the category of textbook Pyramid wins. A combination of great clue-giving and great guessing made for a 38-second win, which would have definitely secured this contestant's spot in the $100,000 tournament had she been playing in 1987.
On this version of the show, during the main game, every time a team scored seven out of seven points in the round, the contestant would receive an instant $500 and their Winner's Circle bank if they won the game, which starts at $10,000, would increase by $5,000. This means during each half, a contestant could play for $25,000 in the Winner's Circle. Since this contestant only played for $10,000, she didn't achieve any perfect rounds in the main game. If this win was a $25,000 win, it would've had a better chance of making it onto the top 10 list, but still, this is a great Pyramid climb and definitely deserves a mentioning.
