4. Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan is like the dark anime version of the Big Friendly Giant. This series is extremely popular in Japan and here in the west.
Eren is this kid who goes from being apart of a loving family in the Shiganshina District to watching his mom get eaten up like Fruit-Rollups and his dad possibly being a mad scientist who rides 50-foot Beast Titans.

This show covers plenty of bases and follows Mikasa, Eren and Armin as they look to find answers, like why is Eren able to transform into a titan, all while protecting the rest of the city from Colossus Titans and the impending evil that lurks.
Seasons 1 and 2 are streamed on Crunchyroll, Hulu and Netflix, but the highly anticipated Season 3 will be 24 episodes towards the end of July 2018 on Funimation.
