National Cancer Survivors Day: 7 celebrity cancer survivors

On The Osbournes on MTV, Sharon fully disclosed in 2002  her battle against colorectal cancer. She had filmed the early detection, minor surgery and chemotherapy.

In 2003 she said to USA Today, "People don't want to discuss colon cancer. There is no ribbon for it. When I was better, my kids were joking, Mum, why did you have to get colon cancer? Couldn't it have been something else? Why there? This is so typical of you.'"

Since then she has created the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Program, giving at-home help, transportation, and various other services to diagnosed patients, according to Glamour.
