In 2011, Wanda Sykes had a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy after in February 2011 she had breast reduction surgery.  Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) was found during the breast reduction surgery. It was found at a very early-stage and is a form of breast cancer, according to News Day.

Wanda Sykes won a Prime Time Emmy and has been nominated numerous times. As of recently, she worked with the Roseanne show as a Consulting Producer.

Otherwise, she is very involved with her standup!
