My Hero Academia: 5 series-changing events from episode 49

My Hero Academia, series changing, events

3. All Might used up the last bit of the "One For All" quirk

Since being introduced to All Might, the gap between him and the other heroes has been wider than when I first said “since” at the beginning of this sentence.  And of course that was due to his superhuman powers, speed, agility and his collection fighting moves, which involve using the names of states, and that gives him tremendous clout.

Throughout the season there were hints that pointed toward Toshinori using up the last bits of the One For All quirk and during his fight with All For One and in this episode he bids farewell to the quirk as he landed a reverberating final blow that used up all his power.

In one final showing as the heroic symbol to the people, Toshinori transformed into All Might’s full form to complete what Grand Torino calls, “his last job as the Symbol of Peace, and the number one hero.”

In the preview for the following episode, it is stated that All Might is now in a retirement of sorts—so that means All Might as we knew it, is over with.
