3. True Grit (2010)
John Wayne’s True Grit is one that stuffed full of cheesy lines and simplistic morals. The Coen Brothers took that and transformed it into a remarkably well-told western that isn’t afraid to play with some of the genre’s classic tropes. Of course, there’s plenty of Coen one-liners and gags that work pretty well in there too.
