9. Edward Dmytryk's Back to Bataan, 1945
Made while the U.S. was still trying to liberate the Philippines from the Japanese, this one finds John Wayne as the leader of a Filipino guerrilla squad. This one is great thanks to the always-amazing Anthony Quinn.
