5. Janine jumps off the bridge
In the penultimate episode "The Bridge," Offred is pulled out of her room and ordered to help in a dire situation: Janine has kidnapped the baby and is threatening to jump off the bridge with the baby in her arms. Janine asks Offred to jump with them, but she talks about needing to live for her daughter. She tells Janine that her daughter should have a chance to grow up and Janine gives her the baby before jumping off the bridge herself.
