7. Paul Newman
Paul Newman was born in Cleveland, Ohio, January 26, 1925.
He was most active from the 1950s to the 1970s and is a Hollywood original icon. Newman started in the '50s with films such as The Long, Hot Summer in 1958, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1959 (which got him nominated for Best Actor).
It was in the 1960s that he really took off with movies like Hustler (1961), Hud (1963) and Cool Hand Luke (1967). He was nominated for best actor for all three.
From there he was in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969), The Towering Inferno (1974), Slap Shot (1977) and The Color of Money in 1986 which he received his first Oscar for.
