1. Doris Day

Doris Day, or Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on April 3, 1922.

She was a constant throughout the late 40s to the early 70s. She landed her first big role in Romance on the High Seas in 1948.

In 1949 she was in My Dream is Yours and It's a Great Feeling while producing several audio records since she was a talented singer as well.

In the fifties she was in five films, starting the run in 1953 with Calamity Jane. In the sixties, she made more films, which were also big hits such as Do Not Disturb, 1965 and Where Were You When the Lights Went Out in 1968.

After her husband's death, Martin Welcher, she never made another movie but she did have The Doris Day Show which ran from 1968 to 1973.
