16. Phyllis Diller
Phyllis Ada Driver was born in Lima, Ohio on July 17, 1917
Diller did not break into fame until she was 38, with her performances at The Purple Onion Night Club in San Fransisco which spanned over a year.
From there she was a regular appearance on TV talk shows and variety circuits until she became close friends with Bob Hope.
They starred in three big comedies, which are Boy, Did I Get a Wrong Number! in 1966, Eight on the Lam (1967) and The Private Navy of Sgt. O' Farrell in 1968.
Diller was a small screen favorite with The Phyllis Diller Show in 1966, while also appearing in shows such as Laugh-In (1977), The Gong Show and others.
In addition, Diller has a notable voice acting career, appearing in shows like Robot Chicken and Family Guy.
On top of this, she was in The Bold and the Beautiful for 23 episodes.
