Katherine Hepburn is perhaps the most important leading lady Hollywood has ever had the fortune of witnessing. She completely redefined how a woman can and should act.
Hepburn revolutionized female independence, both in her solidarity and her fashion standards, including wearing trousers before it was popular for women.
She was strong, outspoken and assertive, cultivating a career from a young age to groundbreaking performances later in life, earning her a total of four Academy Awards for Best Actress (the most for any actor ever).
In 1999, Hepburn was named the greatest female star of Classic Hollywood Cinema by the American Film Institute. Her impact on films will not soon be forgotten.
