5. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
Hot, possibly controversial opinion: Captain America: The Winter Soldier is the second base Marvel film, only falling behind Guardians of the Galaxy (don’t @ me). Whether you agree or disagree, it was for sure a risky move by Marvel — turning the film into a political thriller and taking out the entire organization of SHIELD — that completely took their universe in a different direction. The film is set in Washington D.C., yet much of the film was made in Cleveland — which is why things like The Cleveland Museum of Art and Public Library are clearly visible.
