“You’ll shoot your eye out kid!”
You know it, you love it and yes, it was largely filmed right in Cleveland. Fun fact: the town portrayed in the film was modeled to look like screenwriter Jean Sheppard’s hometown Hammond, Indiana. The interior scenes inside the house were all filmed in Hohman, but director Bob Clark sent out scouts all across the country to figure out where to film the exterior scenes. Eventually, they settled on Cleveland.
