7. Chicago Blizzard-1967

In late January back in 1967, Chicago was completely engulfed in a massive snowstorm. Areas from northeast Illinois to Indiana had to deal with over 23 inches of snow. Transportation became almost impossible. Radio reports indicate what chaos this snowstorm brought to a large part of the Midwest and East coast. Many people just left cars on the side of the road and mass transit shut down.
