Witherspoon provided the voice for Susan 'Ginormica' Murphy, the main character in the 3-D film, Monsters vs. Aliens. The film received positive reviews, having a 72 percent approval rating from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. Witherspoon was nominated for a Kids’ Choice Award for Favorite Voice from an Animated Movie. The film went on to gross $381 million worldwide.
