4. 500 Days of Summer (2009)
Sometimes we all just need an Autumn. Marc Webb’s 500 Days of Summer opens by telling us the two main characters, played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, aren’t going to end up together. Yet, we’re going to spend the entire rest of the film desperately wishing it’s not true. It’s great and all, but learn from my mistake on this one and don’t watch it directly after a break-up.
