3. No obnoxious commentary
This may be me but I prefer to watch my sports without a newsman repeating the actions word for word. Commentary is useless for curling because there is nothing that needs to be commented on. Because curling is such a straightforward sport, the commentators talking about a play by play wouldn’t fit.
In curling, the only commentary could explain how the game works and we’ve already established how simple the rules are. Or the commentators could tell the life story of all of the curlers. That would be worse.
