10. They wear cool pants

Ok, so the costumes aren’t as fancy as the ones that the ice skaters wear or aren’t as patriotic as the snowboarders’ jackets but- the pants are really awesome. Because there is a special kind of pants that curlers must wear, the teams have found a way to make their curling uniforms cool.

While the teams are competing on their curling abilities, there is also a side competition on who can have the coolest pants. So far, Norway is crushing the competition. There are youtube tributes to the pants and even a Facebook page.

For the 2014 Winter Olympics, Russia is trying to catch up. They are defending their home court by having equally as crazy pants.
