10 Oscar-winning movies from the past decade you can't miss

3. The Grand Budapest Hotel

Directed by and written by Wes Anderson, The Grand Budapest Hotel won four Oscars including best achievement in production design and costume design and was nominated for best picture at the 87th Academy Awards in 2015.

Meet M. Gustave (Ralph Fiennes), the best of the best in Europe as far as hotel service goes in a hugely well-known Hotel, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Zero Moustafa a lobby boy, Toni Revolori, who is taken in under the wing of Gustave. When Gustave becomes heir to a priceless painting from a rich elderly lover who dies, there is a setup during the aftermath of the decree of the will. And since it takes place just before World War II, an ever-emerging confrontational backdrop produces ominous tones.

The movie was well done with Anderson's zany style and use of colorful visuals and deadpan humor acting, light-hearted but hinting at a larger problem.
