1. Black Panther (Feb. 16)
I mean, it was kind of obvious this was going to be number one, right? Yes, it’s a Marvel blockbuster film, but that’s not the reason we’re jumping up and down over this one. We’re finally getting a mainstream African-American superhero in the front and center. Not only that, but almost the entire cast is predominately African-American. That’s amazing. The trailers, also, are amazing. Calling it now, Black Panther is about to make north of $130 million at the box office opening weekend, and we couldn’t be happier about that.
