Oh, where to begin? It shouldn’t have worked. Adapting the 1,138 page long Stephen King novel is a near impossible task, and we’ve seen it done poorly the past with the mini-series (yeah Tim Curry is a good Pennywise but the rest of it really doesn’t hold up). Warner Brothers, however, took a chance with director Andy Muschietti and the results are nothing short of stunning. Blending an unforgettable performance from Bill Skarsgård as Pennywise with coming-of-age elements with Stand By Me vibes, It takes the top spot on this list. We can NOT wait for the sequel.
