8. The Hurt Locker (Feb. 1)
The film that earned Kathryn Bigelow her first Oscar, The Hurt Locker is one of the first films to deal with war in the 21st Century and the effects PTSD can have on a person. While there’s an argument to be made on whether The Hurt Locker should have won Best Picture in 2010 over Inglorious Bastards or Up, it’s still worth a watch.
