3. “Metalhead” (Episode 5)
Apparently, people aren’t responding to “Metalhead” as strongly as the Black Mirror creators might have liked. I, however, found this outing to be a beautifully crafted, albeit nerve-racking, expedition into a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The whole thing isn’t just a wasteland, however — there’s tiny killer robots that the protagonist of the episode is trying to outrun. With some Mad Max: Fury Road and even Logan vibes with the black-and-white spectrum, “Metalhead” is far more effective than people are giving it credit for.
