1. Tangerine (2015)
The Florida Project director Sean Baker made Tangerine off a shoe-string budget, cast a bunch of non-actors in the lead roles and filmed the entire thing on an iPhone camera. The result is something unlike we’ve ever seen. Telling a story about two prostitutes living just off of Hollywood Boulevard who decide to tear up the town on Christmas Eve, Tangerine is a realistic and funny tale perfect for this time of year. Yes, it may be different than the conventional Christmas movie you're used to watching, but Tangerine is one that demands to be seen.
