2. Foxcatcher (2014)
Never, in a hundred years, would we have predicted that we would be so scared of Brick Tamland. Yet here we are. In Foxcatcher, Carell plays John du Pont — the millionaire coach who “trained” the Schultz Brothers in the 1988 Olympic Games. It’s an unsettling, creepy performance from start to finish from Carell. Foxcatcher is the kind of movie that you’re only going to want to watch once.
