4. Batman Begins (2005)
“And why do we fall, Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves up.”
The film that kicked off Nolan’s trilogy to astonishing results, Batman Begins was fighting an uphill battle. The Dark Knight’s reputation was damaged, to say the least after his last outing, Batman & Robin. Nolan took the character and breathed new life into it, showing it’s possible to portray comic-books in a darker, much more serious light. The result is one of the most iconic Batman films we’ve seen to date.
