A slight case of reinvention
After more than four years without producing new music, The xx returned in early 2017 with I See You. While this record is still recognizable as the London trio, they definitely mixed things up a bit. They amped-up their formerly minimalist style to include a greater amount of dense and fast-paced electronic rhythms. A pleasant surprise, fans got to see a different facet to The xx.
