Opening with a bang
The xx dropped their debut album, entitled XX, during the summer of 2009. Released under the independent label Young Turks, the record was not necessarily highly anticipated. However, XX was met with critical acclaim and subsequently added to many best of the year lists in the U.S. and U.K. Right from the start, this trio demonstrated their surprise power.
