1. Star Wars: The Last Jedi — Dec. 15, Wide
I mean, you had to know that was what was going to be number one, right? The follow up to The Force Awakens and seemingly the one Star Wars movie that went through production without any glaring errors or director controversy, this is the one we’re really waiting for. We left the theater of The Force Awakens with so many questions of where the franchise was going to go, and now director Rian Johnson (Looper, Brick) is going to answer them (or at least some of them, we hope). What has Luke been doing on this island the whole time? What’s Rey’s heritage? How are they going to handle the passing of Carrie Fischer? How do these Porg things fit into all of this? We need to know, and Dec. 15 can’t come soon enough.
And that’s our list. What a year though, right? 2017 might honestly be one of the better years movie-wise that we’ve had in quite some time. So, in the comments below, let us know what you’re still excited to see in 2017 and also what your favorite film of the year has been thus far.
