Documentary filmmaker and wife of Lieutenant Governor of California Gavin Newsom wrote an article for the Huffington Post saying she believed “every word that was writing in the New York Times, because very similar things happened to me.” She constantly found herself in situations where she was left alone with Weinstein in hotel rooms. “Like so many young women, I was taught from the earliest of ages to be polite and keep ins ‘nice.’” Newsom writes. “I was socialized to respect powerful men.”
