Gwyneth Paltrow was only 22 years old when Weinstein hired her for the lead role in Emma. Before the film began shooting, however, Paltrow recalls the time he had invited her to his hotel and suggested they enter the bedroom for massages. “I was a kid,” Paltrow told the New York Times. “I was signed up, I was petrified.” Paltrow refused and told Brad Pitt, her boyfriend at the time, about the event. “I thought he was going to fire me,” she said.
