3. Donnie Darko - Oct. 11
Being released just in time for its 16th anniversary, Donnie Darko is yet another twisted yet brilliant film that makes the list. Admittedly, it might not make a whole lot of sense the first time that you watch it. Maybe not the second or third time either. But Richard Kelly’s direction is so compelling that you’re going to want to keep re-watching it to try and figure out what it all means.
