Taking a break from the horror genre, The Green Mile is a prison drama (again, not the last time we’re going to see that category pop up on this list) starring Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan. While the film does use certain and select fantasy elements, The Green Mile is a refreshingly different and heartfelt story from King.
