Will the third time be the charm for The Munsters' reboot?
1313 Mockingbird Lane could be going from zombie house to real estate magic with a reboot of 1960s classic show The Munsters being rebooted by NBC.
The script is being written by Odd Mom Out creator Jill Kargman and will feature the zany family trying to fit into hipster Brooklyn, according to Deadline. The plan is to keep it at its original half-hour comedy format.
The show will be executive produced by late night's Seth Meyers with the help of his partner in Sethmaker Shoemeyers productions Mike Shoemaker and Kargman. The show production will be a joint effort from Universal Studios and Sethmaker Shoemeyers, according to Variety.
The show was rebooted into a Halloween special entitled Mockingbird Lane in 2012, with a $10 million budget and big names like Eddie Izzard and Portia de Rossi when the series reboot failed. The other reboot, The Munsters Today, ran from 1988 to 1991.
The original series ran for two seasons very long seasons consisting of a total of 70 episodes from 1964-1966.
