Lincoln Burrows
We know, we get it - how can he beat the main character for the number one spot. Let's not forget that he is the heart of the show. He was wrongfully convicted and put on death row and starts this entire series. Where Scofield may be the brains, Burros is the brawn - the dynamic is uncanny. But it's Season 5 that really makes him the best character on the show. He literally risks his life to go to Yemen to get his brother out of prison when no one else even wants to believe he is really even alive.
