12.  Hannah is not innocent in her own story

This story comes from Hannah’s point of view and it has a genuine bias in favor of the way she saw things happening.  Others saw it differently.  Jessica said that it was Hannah who stopped meeting for hot chocolate.  Even though Hannah was in the room, she did nothing to stop the violent sexual assault on Jessica.  Also, once she has made up her mind that she is done with life, she isn’t able to see the sign that she should live on after she runs into the librarian from the poetry reading who affirms her.  As she was looking for someone to reach out and save her she missed a big sign that someone would.
