9. Fool for Love (Season 5, Episode 7)
This episode centers mostly around Spike as he tells his history to Buffy and explains how he was able to kill two slayers in the past. We get to see Spike from his human days and witness the rejection he faced from the woman he loved, a moment that really helps to explain his complex character. We also see why he was nicknamed William the Bloody and how he managed to beat two talented slayers. By the end of the episode we also see the his love for Buffy begin to form.
