10. School Hard (Sesaon 2, Episode 3)
The episode is an introduction to Spike who would soon turn out to be one of the best characters the show created. James Marsters was excited to land the brief villain role, but he ended up being such a fan favorite that his character stayed on until the end of the series. The episode also has a wonderful moment when Joyce beats Spike with an axe, thus setting up the basis for their endearing relationship.
