Taylor Swift's stalker has been arrested

The alleged stalker of Taylor Swift was arrested this week after numerous, yet unsuccessful, attempts to meet the singer over the last several months.

Mohammed Jaffer, 29, who had allegedly been stalking Swift and reportedly made many attempts in February and the preceding months to get in touch with the singer at her New York residence, has finally been caught by police and is now behind bars. He allegedly made demands to see Swift in person last December and was barred from doing so but returned in January and February where the situation began to escalate.

Surveillance video footage at Swift's home shows Jaffer having made it to the roof of her building on one occasion and on another, going to the floor of her penthouse and relentlessly ringing her doorbell for over 45 minutes. It is unknown how he got inside the building at all though.

Jaffer has also been accused of contacting Swift's management company, calling over 60 times in a two-week period to set up a meeting with her.

Jaffer has been charged with stalking and burglary and has a $20,000 bond. The "Bad Blood" artist was recently granted a restraining order against him.

This isn't the first incidence in which Swift has dealt with stalkers. Last November, another alleged stalker named Frank Andrew Hoover was arrested in Austin after violating a restraining order.
