Quidditch to Pyramid, 13 fictional sports played in real life

6. Calvinball

Probably the most complicated of all fictional games, Calvinball has no definitive rules. The game was invented by the writer of Calvin and Hobbes, Bill Watterson. In the comic strip, Calvin declares that “No sport is less organized than Calvinball!” The rules of the game are constantly changing and scoring is arbitrary. The equipment for the game is based entirely on whatever is available. While there are no professional leagues for the sport, it isn’t because fans haven’t tried. In 2002, a fan proposed a Professional Calvinball League but was turned down. A Calvinball World Championship has also been proposed.
