9. Thunderdome
In the 1985 post-apocolyptic film Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome, the title character is forced into a steel-cage inside a large arena called Thunderdome and has to fight for his life. The quote from the movie is “Two men enter, one man leaves.” In real life the game isn’t played quite as sadistically. Players enter a dome and then joust each other with padded weapons. The game is popular at Burning Man and the Mad Max annual event in California, Wasteland Weekend.
